Chris' 10th Birthday & Interview

Chris turned 10 years old on Friday.  It's hard to believe that I have a child in the double digits now.  My boys are growing up so fast.  :(

That afternoon Eric and I took cupcakes to Chris' classroom.  He really enjoyed that.  His teacher had him stand up at the front of the room with us and everyone sang Happy Birthday to him.  That still embarrasses him a little, but hey....it does me too, so I don't blame him one bit.  ;)

On Saturday we had his birthday party at a local park.  The weather was great and he had an awesome turnout.  All of his family and bunch of friends showed up and everyone had a blast together.  Chris had a Skylanders themed birthday party this year.

I set up a table buffet style with Skylander "themed" food.  I thought it was pretty cute.  We had "power up" pizza, Hot Dog's hot wings, Whirlwind's Rainbow Bombs, "upgrade" chocolate coins, and things like that.  After everyone ate and had cake (Skylander themed also), we played a couple of games.  We played Smash the Chompy, where everyone took a green balloon and had to smash it.  That was a big hit.  Then we played Give the Potion to Pop Fizz, which was also really fun.

Chris got a lot of great gifts and also racked up on money and gift cards.

Here are some pictures:
