I haven't read the previous books in this series but I didn't feel like it took away anything by not doing so. I love Madsen's writing. She is great at describing her characters in such a way that you really feel like you get to know them. I really loved Ryder's character. He had some really swoon worthy moments trying to win Lindsay over. I liked Lindsay as well, even though she was a little frustrating at times when it came to her resisting Ryder. I enjoyed this book and will definitely go back and read the previous ones in this series.
