OFF THE BLOG
Nothing much really happened this week.  We've just been hanging out around the house and spending time together.

Someone from a Facebook group I'm in had the idea to start up a round robin with a book.  She was going to send out the first book in a series, then when that person is done, they send it on to the next and so on and so forth.  It's a cozy mystery series that I haven't read yet so I signed up to participate. I was the first one on the list and received the book this week so I'm looking forward to starting it and passing it on to the next person.  Once I'm finished with book 1, the person organizing it will send me the second one.  Then it'll go on that way until we're through the series.  This seems like it will be a lot of fun.  :D

My parents are going to pay for Chris and Logan to get a summer bowling pass to the bowling alley here.  It starts tomorrow and goes all the way through to about the middle of September.  With the pass, they get 3 free bowling games per day and free shoe rental.  It's only $26 each, which is a really good deal!  That will keep them busy with something to do this summer.

A transformer in our neighborhood blew up last night and we were without power for over 2 hours.  I will never again take air conditioning for granted.  It was so hot outside, it didn't take long for us to feel miserable. I'm really thankful it didn't take longer for them to get the power back on.

This evening at church, a financial adviser is coming in to speak and hold a class, so I'll be working the childcare for it.  The last I heard we were expecting at least 25 kids, so it'll be a full house.  :)

WEEKLY FUNNY
So, yeah.  How true is this? ;)
